About New Porgera

New Porgera Limited (NPL) is a company incorporated in Papua New Guinea and owns the Porgera Gold Mine in Enga Province. The Porgera Gold Mine will employ nearly 3,000 Papua New Guineans at full production, and over the last 30 years of life of the mine it has contributed approximately 10% of Papua Recent Guinea’s total annual exports.

About the role

New Porgera Limited is seeking an experienced Tele-remote Loader Operator – Underground to support our underground mining team. Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, this role is responsible for bogging production stopes, loading stockpiles to trucks, and ensuring trucks operate at full efficiency. You will also be required to bog out and clean faces, inspect for misfires and promptly notify the Shift Supervisor, while carrying out hosing down and scaling as required. Duties include remote bogging from open stopes using tele-remotes, tramming material from stockpiles, and maintaining all roads within the work area to ensure they remain tidy, safe, and free from pooling water or other hazards. The role will involve both manual and tele-remote bogging of production stopes to stockpiles and trucks.

About you

As the successful applicant, you will possess

- Minimum of five years’ underground mining experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of underground hard rock mining techniques, including watering, scaling,



and bogging of development headings and production stopes

- You will bring initiative, a flexible approach to work, a strong commitment to building a safe and productive work culture with a high focus on quality, while also being able to work autonomously

- Experience in Tele-remote, and additional relevant certifications – (RCT Digital experience will be highly regarded).

- Provide effective leadership and development for your local team to reinforce NPL’s culture and values, always promoting a safe work environment.

- A high energy and hands-on management style along with the desire to continuously improve your team’s knowledge and systems and methods of work.
