About the Role
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department. Working closely with the Housekeeping leadership team, you will supervise room attendants and public area team members to ensure guest rooms and hotel areas are presented to the required standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and coordinating daily housekeeping operations
- Conducting guest room inspections and ensuring rooms meet hotel and brand standards
- Allocating rooms and monitoring daily productivity and progress
- Supporting Room Attendants to achieve quality and efficiency expectations
- Providing hands-on assistance during busy periods
- Training, coaching and providing feedback to team members
- Ensuring guest requests and housekeeping priorities are followed up promptly
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues
- Monitoring linen, amenities, equipment and housekeeping supplies
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, chemical handling and safe work procedures
- Working closely with Front Office,
Engineering and other hotel departments
- Supporting a positive, respectful and high-performing team culture
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous housekeeping experience within a hotel environment
- Has previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Has excellent attention to detail and high presentation standards
- Is confident inspecting guest rooms and providing constructive feedback
- Can organise workloads and prioritise effectively in a busy operation
- Is comfortable leading a multicultural and diverse team
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is reliable, professional and calm under pressure
- Is physically capable of performing the requirements of a hands-on housekeeping role
- Has flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
