The Role:

The WHS Advisor works closely with operational leaders to identify hazards, manage risks and promote a safe workplace culture while supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of WHS systems and documentation.

What You’ll Do:
✅ WHS Advisory & Support: Provide practical WHS advice and guidance to managers and employees.
✅ Incident Management: Maintain, review and investigate incident, hazards and near misses in line with the organisation's Incident Management Process.
✅ Risk Management: Support the identification, assessment, control and monitoring of workplace risks, providing practical advice to managers and escalating significant WHS risks where required.
✅ Workplace Inspections and Compliance: Support organisational WHS compliance through workplace inspections, audits, issue resolution and monitoring of legislative and company requirements.
✅ WHS Systems and Documentation: Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of WHS systems and documentation, ensuring records, policies and procedures remain accurate, compliant and fit for purpose.
✅ WHS Training and Awareness: Support the development, coordination and delivery of WHS training and awareness initiatives.
✅ Reporting and Analysis: Support the effective management of WHS performance through accurate reporting, data analysis, trend monitoring and maintenance of WHS records and registers
✅ Return to Work Support: Support Return to Work activities by coordinating communication, maintaining records and assisting with suitable duties planning and implementation.





Qualifications & Experience
✅ Cert IV WHS or equivalent qualifications
✅ Extensive knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, codes, and standards
✅ Demonstrated WHS experience in a high-risk and operational environment
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office
✅ Strong problem-solving skills
✅ Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
✅ Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
✅ Experience in retail/warehousing (preferred)
✅ Exposure to an airport environment (highly regarded)
✅ Ability to travel occasionally to sites across Australia and New Zealand
