KAEFER Integrated Services is currently recruiting Scaffolders to join our team on a long-term maintenance contract at a flagship gold and copper operation located approximately 25 km from Orange, NSW. This technically advanced mining operation features cutting-edge infrastructure and ongoing expansion projects that support both global innovation and the local economy.

- Location: Must be local to the Orange region (within 1 hour’s drive) or willing to accommodate yourself in Orange.

Who We’re Looking For

Reporting to the Scaffold Supervisor, you will be part of a close‑knit, high‑performing scaffolding team delivering safe, efficient, and compliant scaffold services across both surface and underground operations.
You will contribute directly to maintenance, shutdown, and construction activities at one of NSW’s premier mining sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely erect, modify, inspect and dismantle scaffolding in accordance with AS/NZS 1576 and AS/NZS 4576
• Support maintenance, shutdown, underground and construction work across the site
• Work confidently in underground environments, following ventilation, tagging, isolation and emergency response requirements
• Read and follow scaffold plans, engineered drawings, load ratings and tie-in requirements
• Complete scaffold tags, handover certificates and compliance documentation
• Conduct pre-start checks, hazard identification, JHAs and risk assessments
• Maintain clean, compliant and controlled work areas throughout scaffold activities




• Work safely in restricted, elevated or confined areas as required

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Current High Risk Work Licence with Scaffolding Class (SA, SI, SB)
• Previous scaffolding experience in mining, heavy industry, shutdowns or construction
• Understanding of mine site safety systems—permits, isolations, JHAs
• Underground experience (preferred but not essential for all positions)
• Working at Heights & Confined Space tickets (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to interpret scaffold drawings and engineering requirements
• Current driver’s licence
