Electrical BIM Modeller – Tier 1 Contractor Brisbane | Permanent | Excellent package + career pathway

A leading Tier 1 contractor with a solid pipeline of major projects across Brisbane & SE QLD is looking to appoint an Electrical BIM Modeller to support the delivery of complex building/infrastructure work. This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing digital engineering function with genuine long-term development and exposure to landmark projects.

The Role Working closely with Project Engineers, Design Managers, Services Coordinators and subcontractors, you’ll produce and coordinate electrical models and documentation to ensure design intent, constructability and clash-free delivery. You’ll play a key role in model management, coordination, and supporting site teams through construction.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce and maintain electrical BIM models in line with project standards and BEPs
- Develop coordinated shop drawings / construction documentation for site delivery
- Manage model updates through design changes, RFIs and construction variations
- Participate in clash detection and coordination with other services (mech/hydraulic/fire/structural)
- Support digital workflows including model federation, issue tracking and QA/QC checks




- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to meet program milestones
- Maintain drawing/model registers and ensure deliverables align to contractual requirements

About You
- Proven experience as an Electrical BIM Modeller (contractor or subcontractor background welcome)
- Strong capability in Revit (MEP) (and ideally Navisworks / BIM 360 / ACC or similar)
- Understanding of electrical systems (lighting, power, cable containment, comms/fire interfaces) and construction methodology
- Ability to interpret consultant design documentation and convert it into constructable models/drawings
- Robust attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Familiarity with project BIM standards, naming conventions and QA processes
