Arborist / Tree Climber – Full time

Full-Time Position – 40+ hours per week
Salary: $79,040– $83,200 per annum + superannuation
Equivalent to approximately $38.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience

Xtreme Garden Care is a family-owned and operated arboriculture business based in Darwin, Northern Territory, with more than 25 years' experience in the industry.

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Arborist / Tree Climber to join our established team on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant will undertake a range of arboricultural work, including tree climbing, pruning, dismantling and tree removals, and will work as part of an experienced crew using specialised arboriculture equipment.

Key Duties

- Climbing and undertaking aerial tree work

- Tree pruning, trimming and removals

- Sectional dismantling and rigging

- Safe operation of chainsaws and arboriculture equipment

- Assisting with crane-assisted tree removals where required

- Operating and working around wood chippers and other plant

- Completing work in accordance with WHS requirements and industry standards

- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:





- Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent relevant qualification

- Minimum 3 years' relevant arboriculture industry experience

- Demonstrated tree climbing and aerial tree work experience

- Strong knowledge of tree pruning, dismantling and removal techniques

- Chainsaw competency/ticket

- Construction White Card

- Current unrestricted driver's licence

- Experience working with trucks and wood chippers

- Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude

- Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team

- Own suitable climbing equipment

Desirable

- MR or higher driver's licence, or willingness to obtain an MR licence

- Crane-assisted tree removal experience

- Rigging experience

- EWP and/or Working at Heights qualifications

- Additional arboriculture or high-risk work qualifications

Employment Details

This is a full-time position based in Darwin, Northern Territory, with a salary of $79,040 to $83,200 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.

The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete the company's standard probationary period.
