About the Role
The Environmental Consultant will analyse and advise on the environmental policies, programs and operational practices that guide FPG's farming and production activities, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and supporting the sustainable management of land, water and natural resources across our operations.

- Evaluate land, water, biodiversity and natural resource needs across FPG farming sites, and develop short- and long-term environmental management goals and objectives
- Carry out environmental impact assessments for farm development, infrastructure and operational projects
- Propose and implement solutions to address or mitigate negative environmental impacts arising from farming, packing and logistics activities




- Monitor and analyse environmental factors such as soil, water and atmospheric conditions, and their effects on crop and land management
- Develop conservation and land management policies, and establish standards for pollution control and rehabilitation of land disturbed by farming activities
- Advise on and help implement policies to protect natural and cultural heritage values on FPG-managed land
- Support management planning by providing environmental data, reporting and inventories relevant to FPG's operations
- Monitor and calculate FPG's carbon footprint to develop a sustainability strategy with viable ways to reach net-zero target
- Ensure FPG's environmental practices align with relevant Commonwealth, state and local legislation and licensing requirements

Salary range: $80,000 to $86,000

About you
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related discipline
- 1+ year relevant experience in an environmental advisory, consulting or compliance role, ideally within agriculture, horticulture or a related sector
- Sound knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Solid analytical, report-writing and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to travel to FPG sites across Australia as required
