About the role
As our Full-Time Café Chef, you will be preparing high-quality, delicious food and helping us maintain our unique standards menu to a busy local crowd.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to recipes and quality standards. Ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Present and garnish dishes to café standard
- Maintain cleanliness and organization. Always adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Support the Head Chef with stock, ordering, and wastage management to minimize food spoilage
- Collaborate with the culinary team to streamline operations and ensure efficient service delivery
- Manage waste, cleaning & dishes and general kitchen upkeep
About you
- Previous experience as a breakfast chef, Chef or Cook
- Passion for quality and presentation
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team
- Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred)
- Passion for the hospitality industry with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively in a close-knit team
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends, with a commitment to excellence even under pressure
- Well-presented and professional demeanour
- A keen understanding of OH&S; and food hygiene requirements
