Ipswich Grammar School is seeking an Accountant to join our Accounts team. Whether you're starting your professional accounting career or building on existing experience, this role offers the opportunity to learn, contribute and grow across financial reporting, budgeting, analysis and business support in a complex and rewarding environment.

Working closely with our Director of Finance and broader Accounts team, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting functions while contributing to the financial success of one of Queensland's leading independent schools.

As Accountant, you'll support the School's financial management and reporting functions, including month-end and year-end processes, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and management reporting.

Responsibilities of the role include:

- Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting processes.

- Preparing reconciliations and supporting schedules.

- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

- Monitoring financial performance and investigating variances.

- Assisting with management reporting and financial analysis.

- Supporting external audit requirements.





- Maintaining the fixed asset register and capital expenditure reporting.

- Contributing to process improvements and finance projects.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

- A qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

- The ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
