Role Description
The Manager, Policy sits within OVIC's Legal, Policy and Investigations team and leads the development, coordination and delivery of policy advice, briefings, submissions and reform initiatives to support OVIC's statutory objectives. The role provides senior-level policy expertise and judgement on complex, sensitive and often novel integrity issues, manages a Principal Policy Officer and represents OVIC in policy discussions across Victorian Government, Parliament and other integrity and oversight bodies.
At the VPS Grade 5 level, the role operates with a high degree of autonomy within an agreed strategic framework, exercising sound judgement on matters that may be politically sensitive, legally complex and/or subject to public and parliamentary scrutiny.
