What you'll do

As the Principal Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of multiple concurrent software development projects using Microsoft .NET web technologies, ensuring enterprise solutions are responsive to customer needs and aligned with organisational objectives. You will provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary project teams, maintaining and enhancing project management capability within eHealth Queensland while ensuring quality outcomes are achieved. The role is responsible for providing expert advice and strategic input to project deliverables, ensuring compliance with Queensland Health strategies, architecture, and quality standards. You will oversee the application of best-practice project management methodologies and Queensland Health's formal project management framework, guide and mentor team members, and foster stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will monitor project performance against plans and budgets, report on project trends and outcomes, and support informed decision-making through the preparation of high-quality submissions, briefs, presentations, and information papers for key stakeholders.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

- High level leadership and design of large scale, complex/high risk projects (SFIA Code: PRMG 6)
- High level of project management skills, with the ability to achieve successful project outcomes (SFIA Code: PRMG 6 (NHS: Drive for Results)
- Ability to use high level interpersonal, negotiation, consultation and communication skills appropriate to all stakeholders to create a strong client focus (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
- Proven ability to lead and manage multiple multi-disciplinary project teams (NHS: Holding to Account) (NHS: Empowering Others)
