About the role

Lead the safe and effective management of Ipswich's road corridor operations.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and people-focused leader to join our Works and Field Services leadership team as Road Corridor Manager.

In this pivotal role, you will lead a diverse team of technical specialists responsible for managing road corridor operations across council-controlled roads.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Lead a well-driven team of specialists, fostering a positive, accountable, safety-first culture
- Manage road corridor operations, including planning, budget preparation, resource allocation and service delivery
- Oversee temporary traffic management activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practice
- Align, measure and report on the delivery of outcomes to ensure resourcing targets are met

About you





You are an experienced leader with a strong background in operational management together with:

- Substantial experience in the delivery of traffic management design and operations with the ability to balance operational, safety and community outcomes
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills to build productive relationships and manage complex stakeholders
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, standards and guidelines relating to traffic and road corridor management
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering
- The ability to align with our values of safety and wellbeing, collaboration, communication, integrity, efficiency and leadership
