THE OPPORTUNITY

With continued growth in Canberra, Beneco are seeking experienced allied health professionals to join us as Rehabilitation Consultants on versatile contracting arrangements.

We are open to candidates from a range of disciplines including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, and Psychology.

As a Beneco contractor, you will manage referred caseloads across Workers Compensation and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) streams, delivering evidence-based assessments and interventions that support injured workers to recover function and return to work safely and sustainably. You will be supported by Beneco's national team and yet also afforded the autonomy to work in a way that works for you.

Key focus areas include:

- Managing an active referred caseload across Workers Compensation and WHS streams, delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to injured workers in the ACT.
- Conducting assessments and developing injury management and return-to-work plans that are practical, person-centred, and tailored to each individual and their workplace.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, treating practitioners, insurers, and other key stakeholders across the ACT.
- Maintaining accurate, timely case documentation in line with scheme requirements and Beneco's quality standards.
- Contributing to a collaborative national network at Beneco.

THE SPECIFICS

Location: Canberra, ACT

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (PTY LTD ABN required)

Working Arrangements:Flexible - self-managed, with travel to client sites within the ACT and surrounding region

Disciplines: OT, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology

Rate: Hourly rate + GST commensurate with experience and discipline

THE PERSON

We are looking for experienced practitioners who have the depth, professional independence, and local presence to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services to injured workers in the ACT.



The right person for this arrangement will bring:

Experience

- Demonstrated experience in occupational rehabilitation or workplace rehabilitation and a presence in the ACT market
- Working knowledge of relevant workers compensation frameworks and workplace health and safety obligations, with ACT or Commonwealth scheme experience highly regarded.
- The ability to manage a caseload independently, with strong clinical judgement, organisation, and documentation discipline.
- Confidence engaging with employers, treating practitioners, and insurers with professionalism and a genuine focus on outcomes.

Formal Qualifications

- Occupational Therapy: current AHPRA registration
- Physiotherapy: current AHPRA registration
- Psychology: current AHPRA registration and listing with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Rehabilitation Counsellors: current ASORC registration
- Exercise Physiology: current ESSA Registration

All candidates must also hold:

- A current, full driver's licence
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle for client site travel within the ACT and surrounding region
- A current PTY LTD Australian Business Number (ABN)
