Assistant Treasury Risk Analyst | Bank of China Sydney

Bank of China is seeking an energetic and highly motivated Assistant Treasury Risk Analyst to join the Sydney Office.

This is a Two Year Term Contract, with strong potential to convert to an ongoing role upon successful completion.

Responsibilities:

- Monitoring Macroeconomic developments and banking industry in Australia and China, and undertaking research projects at country or region wide level
- Liaising with economic researchers in industry, academia and government agencies
- Producing analytical reports and helping provide insights about the macroeconomic outlook of Australia and China
- Monitoring analyzing and writing reports on banking and finance industry
- Monitoring and analyzing key financial market developments, including foreign exchange rates, interest rates, bond yields, money market indicators, and assessing key market drivers
- Producing regular and ad hoc commentary and analytical reports on foreign exchange and interest rate market outlooks, scenarios and key risks,



and providing market insights to support management decision-making and financial management activities

To be considered, possessing following skills and experience are essential:

- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or related
- Certified Practicing Accounts (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) in Australia is preferred
- Minimum 3 years Economics Research, risk analysis related experience
- Strong economic, policy, risk analysis and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build solid stakeholder relationships with people at all levels and from different backgrounds
- Ability to work flexibly across different teams and projects to deliver outputs, and to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
- Good understanding of financial markets, including foreign exchange, money market and interest rate markets
- Excellent written and verbal communication in both English and Mandarin
