About the Opportunity

Stawell Gold Mines are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our underground mining operation in Stawell, Victoria. This is a residential, full time position offering stability, career progression and a strong team culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Conducting routine metallurgical test work
Preparing geological and metallurgical samples
Performing routine assaying tasks
Participating in site safety systems
Supporting broader laboratory operations as needed
Maintaining health, safety and environmental standards

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:




Experience in a mine laboratory or similar is desirable but not essential
A current Victorian Driver’s License (mandatory)
Solid verbal and written communication skills
A commitment to safety and teamwork
Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

Desirable qualifications (not essential):
Forklift License
First Aid Certificate
