About the role

We're looking for an experienced Manager to join our Outsourced Finance Team at Level 3, 360 Kent Street, Sydney. Reporting to the Senior Manager and leading a group of Team Leaders, you'll be accountable for delivering commercial finance services across your own client portfolio, from board-level reporting and financial modelling to client advisory and compliance. You'll make sure every engagement is delivered on time, within scope and to a high qualified standard, while meeting utilisation and profitability targets. This role is a key step toward Senior Manager.

Key responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and board packs.
Oversee reconciliations, General Ledger controls and tax provisions tied to reporting obligations.
Develop financial forecasts, budgets and models that inform client planning and decision-making.
Act as primary contact for your allocated clients, with proactive communication and high-quality delivery.
Review and authorise work prepared by staff to maintain accuracy and quality.
Monitor engagement progress against budget and scope, escalating risks where needed.
Deliver and review compliance obligations, including IAS, GST/BAS, payroll tax, FBT and PAYG, within agreed timeframes.




Mentor and develop your team, and contribute to process improvements, firm initiatives and client growth.

About you
At least a Bachelor qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce or else 5 years of full time, relevant work experience in lieu of a formal qualification.
At least 1 year of full-time work experience in accounting, finance, or auditing.
Professional services experience managing a client portfolio with measurable billable delivery.
A track record of achieving utilisation and billing targets while leading teams.
Strong technical capability in compliance lodgements, GL management, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Proven leadership experience supervising, reviewing and mentoring junior staff.
Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Xero, XPM and financial modelling/reporting tools (desirable).
