Our client, based in Mayfield is seeking an organised and proactive Purchasing Officer to support our hydraulic repair, manufacturing, and engineering operations.

About the Role
Sourcing and purchasing materials, components, consumables and subcontract services
Obtaining and comparing supplier quotes based on price, quality and lead times
Raising purchase orders and following up outstanding deliveries
Maintaining accurate supplier, pricing and purchasing records
Working closely with workshop, stores, sales and management teams
Building robust supplier relationships and resolving supply or delivery issues
Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve purchasing processes

About You




Previous purchasing or procurement experience
Experience within engineering, manufacturing, mining support or an industrial workplace
Solid communication and organisational skills
High attention to detail and commercial awareness
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience purchasing hydraulic components, steel, machined parts or engineering services will be highly regarded
