Woods Constructional Engineers has been supplying and installing structural steelwork and metalwork to our regular cliental for more than 65 years. The company is a well-established, and during this time has become a leading supplier to a wide range of customers. We are looking for an experienced-on site structural steel installer boiler maker.
Role
Fabrication of structural steel components
Operating overhead gantry crane for the purpose of fabrication
Working with power and hand tools.
Implement WHS procedures to complete the job safely.
Sort and maintain a clean workspace.
Responsibilities
Complete all duties as directed by the Workshop Supervisor
Ensure the quality and accuracy of fabrication
Coordinate the maintenance of tools and equipment to conduct the works.
Maintain explicit access for deliveries and pickups
Promote continual efficiencies in the work area promoting teamwork process.
Perform general duties as required by the Workshop Supervisor
Skills and Experience
Trade Qualifications as a Boiler maker or equivalent
Experience Fabrication with MIG,
Experience with Oxyacetylene and plasma cutting equipment.
Read and interpret technical drawings
Robust safety focus and enhancing the site safety setting
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
Overhead crane experience
Additional skills but not essential
TIG and Stick Welding
On site welding of structural steel and metal work
Capability of welding stainless-steel
