About the role

Lanhams Motor Group is a long-established family-owned automotive dealership and an authorised NRMA Roadside Assistance Agent. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Truck Driver / Tow Truck Operator to join our team in a diverse role combining NRMA roadside and breakdown towing, vehicle recovery and transport, and driving our modern 3-Car Carrier. When required, you will also assist our dealership and service departments with the movement and delivery of vehicles, helping keep our operations running smoothly. Our fleet of trucks has been purchased new and is modern, well maintained and kept up to date, providing our drivers with quality equipment to work with.

Key responsibilities
Respond to NRMA roadside assistance and breakdown towing jobs across the local area
Attend breakdowns and recovery situations in a professional, safe and timely manner
Assess the situation and determine the appropriate method to safely recover, load, secure and transport vehicles
Load, secure, transport and unload vehicles in accordance with road rules, safety requirements and towing regulations
Provide excellent customer service and represent both Lanhams Motor Group and NRMA in a professional manner
Communicate clearly with customers and keep them informed throughout the recovery process




Operate Lanhams Motor Group's 3-Car Carrier for the transportation of vehicles
Transport recent, used, demonstrator, customer and dealership vehicles as required
Moving vehicles around the dealership and service departments
Keeping company vehicles, trucks and transport equipment clean, tidy and professionally presented

About you
A current NSW Medium Rigid (MR) Driver's Licence or higher
A current Tow Truck Driver Certificate, or be eligible to obtain one
Previous experience in towing, transport, vehicle recovery, truck driving or a similar role is highly regarded
The ability to safely operate a 3-Car Carrier or a willingness to learn
A strong understanding of safe loading, securing and transportation of vehicles
A strong commitment to workplace and road safety
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers
The ability to work independently while also being part of a team
A reliable, adaptable and positive attitude
