You’ve spent years diagnosing problems, fixing vehicles, dealing with customers and learning your trade. Now you could use all of that experience to help the next generation of automotive apprentices become excellent tradies.

Our client is looking for experienced automotive tradespeople to join its training team in Mackay and Gladstone. They’re a well-established automotive training organisation with a large apprentice base across Queensland. You’ll join a team of trainers and stay connected to the industry you know.

And you don’t need to be a qualified trainer to get started.

This isn’t about becoming a classroom teacher.

A lot of the training happens in the workplace, working directly with apprentices, employers and supervisors.



You’ll also deliver training and assessment in workshops and other learning settings.

You’ll be helping apprentices build the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to become qualified automotive tradespeople.

Who are we looking for?

We’re interested in experienced automotive tradespeople who know their stuff and enjoy helping others.

Your trade could be in:
Light vehicle
Heavy commercial vehicle
Automotive electrical

You’ll need a relevant automotive trade qualification and current industry experience.

Just as important is how you work with people. Can you explain why something works, give useful feedback and build a good relationship with an apprentice and their employer? If so, we’d like to hear from you.

VET or training experience is practical, but it’s not essential. If you’ve been thinking about moving into training but don’t have your TAE yet, our client can support you to get it.
