As an Intern Pharmacist, you will work closely with experienced pharmacists and the pharmacy team, developing the knowledge and practical skills required for pharmacist registration. Your role will be varied, providing exposure to both clinical and operational aspects of pharmacy. You will be supported throughout your internship with training, mentoring and opportunities to develop your professional skills.
Key responsibilities
Dispense and supply prescription medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
Provide medication counselling and patient education
Develop confidence in S2/S3 medication recommendations and counselling
Assist with medication reconciliation and clinical pharmacy activities
Assist pharmacists with clinical queries and patient enquiries
Assist with stock management, unpacking and rotation of medications
Participate in pharmacist-led training and professional development
Work towards completing all requirements of your pharmacist internship
Perform and deliver professional services like Vaccinations and injections
About you
Pharmacy degree completed or eligible to commence a pharmacist internship in Australia
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Positive organisational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to take on recent challenges
Previous pharmacy experience is highly regarded
