Tweed Heads District Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS2) to join its Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team on a contract basis. This is a short-term prospect running from late October through to late November 2026, based in Tweed, NSW. The role offers an immediate start for an experienced mental health clinician ready to make a direct impact in a specialist paediatric and adolescent setting.
Specialised CAMHS experience in a hospital-based mental health workplace

Preferred Requirements
Substantial experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
Current VPM (Violence Prevention and Management) competency or willingness to obtain it quickly
Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills in mental health nursing
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Current registration with AHPRA and a valid nursing licence
Preferred Qualifications
Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration
Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialist experience in mental health or CAMHS nursing
Current or recent VPM competency certification
