About the role

In this full time role, you will play a key part in our construction operations, preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates across a diverse range of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated qualified looking to contribute to a growing company and take ownership of our tendering being involved right from the beginning of the project.

Key responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment requirements
Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify all cost components
Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information
Participate in the bidding and tendering process, ensuring that our proposals are competitive and profitable
Continuously research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes in material and labour costs




Provide support and guidance to the project team throughout the construction process
Submit tenders up to $20M
Review and analyse subcontractor quotations
Contribute to methodology, risk reviews and value engineering
Following up tenders, negotiating outcomes and building relationships with clients, consultants and trades

About you
Extensive experience (3+ years) as an Estimator in the construction industry
Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation principles
Proficiency in using construction estimating software and spreadsheet applications
Robust attention to detail and commercially minded and well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and the project team
Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is desired
Experience using CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam and similar
Sound fit-out, refurbishment and New Build industry knowledge working for the Head Contractor
Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
White Card and full driver’s licence
