In-House Alterations Tailor

Weyridges Custom Tailoring | Brisbane

Weyridges is looking for an experienced Alterations Tailor to join our team and carry out alterations in-house for our custom tailoring and suit hire clients.

We specialise in custom-made suits, wedding tailoring and formalwear, and we're looking for someone with a strong eye for fit, excellent workmanship and experience altering tailored garments.

The Role You’ll work closely with our stylists and clients to complete alterations including:
Trouser hemming, tapering and waist adjustments
Jacket sleeve shortening and length adjustments
Jacket waist and body alterations - Shirt alterations
Vest alterations
Suit and formalwear adjustments
General repairs and finishing
Assisting with fitting adjustments where required

About You

We’re looking for someone who:
Has qualified alterations or tailoring experience
Is confident working with suits and structured garments
Produces clean, consistent and high-quality work
Understands garment fit and balance




Can work independently and manage alteration deadlines
Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail
Is comfortable working as part of a small, customer focused team.

Experience with men’s suiting, wedding suits or formalwear would be highly regarded.
