About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer with a strong transport background to manage our day-to-day accounts. You will check supplier charges against agreed rates, follow up discrepancies and help establish transparent processes for approving and paying bills and keeping financial records organised.

This is a part-time role based at our Bayswater office, working approximately 20–25 hours per week. We offer flexible hours, including school hours, with a regular schedule agreed around payroll and payment deadlines. There is scope for the hours to grow as KIBY grows.

Key responsibilities
Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements in Xero
Check supplier invoices against agreed rates, purchase orders and job records
Identify and follow up incorrect rates, duplicate charges and other billing errors




Manage accounts payable and prepare payments
Set up a transparent process for receiving, checking, approving, filing and paying supplier invoices
Keep invoices, purchase orders, statements and payment records organised and easy to find
Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, statements and overdue payments
Assist with payroll, timesheets and allowances
Review fuel, subcontractor, trailer hire and demurrage charges
Work with our operations team to resolve job and invoice queries

About you
Proficient in Xero, with hands-on experience managing accounts
Robust bookkeeping or accounts experience in transport and logistics
Experience setting up practical record-keeping and bill payment processes
Confident checking supplier charges and following up discrepancies
Organised, accurate and comfortable working with both suppliers and customers
