We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter / Blaster to prepare and apply protective coatings to a variety of industrial surfaces. This role involves abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and coating application to ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Perform abrasive blasting using materials such as garnet, steel grit, or sand to clean and prepare surfaces
Apply industrial coatings, paints, and protective finishes using spray equipment, rollers, or brushes
Inspect surfaces for defects, contamination, or corrosion prior to coating
Mix paints and coatings according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines
Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure correct masking, covering, and protection of non-treated surfaces
Follow project specifications, technical drawings, and coating requirements
Conduct quality checks to ensure coating thickness and finish meet standards
Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations, including use of PPE
Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements & Skills
Proven experience in industrial blasting and painting
Knowledge of surface preparation standards (e.g., SSPC,



NACE or equivalent)
Ability to operate spray painting and blasting equipment
Understanding of different coating systems and applications
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, or in industrial settings
Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
Commitment to safety procedures and protocols

Qualifications
Relevant trade qualification or certification (preferred but not always required)
High Risk Work Licence (advantageous, depending on site requirements)
White Card / Construction Induction (if applicable)
Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications (desirable)

Work Setting
Industrial sites such as construction projects, mining operations, shipyards, or manufacturing facilities
Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying weather conditions
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory
