CHC Australia is looking for a caring male Support Worker to support a 17-year-old young man living with Autism (ASD Level 3) and intellectual disability in Woodridge.

To respect the client's cultural and religious needs, this role requires a male worker of the Islamic faith who understands Islamic practices. This is a genuine occupational requirement of the role.

Shifts
Two weekdays – 4 hours per shift
Saturdays – 5 hours
Total approx. 13 hours per week

Key responsibilities
Provide person-centred support in line with the participant's NDIS plan and goals
Assist with daily living skills, routines and community participation
Support communication and emotional regulation using positive behaviour support strategies
Maintain a protected, calm and respectful workplace




Complete shift notes and report incidents accurately and on time

Essential requirements
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability or related field
Experience supporting people with Autism, intellectual disability or complex behaviours
Current driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
Right to work in Australia
Robust communication skills, patience and reliability

Pay: $45.28 per hour
