About the Role

Nanango Services Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time position for a suitably qualified and experienced hospitality qualified who can contribute to the consistent delivery of high-quality food and productive kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard in accordance with established recipes and presentation requirements.

· Assist with menu planning and development, including seasonal dishes and specials.

· Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation.

· Manage food preparation, portioning and plating during service.

· Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and kitchen supplies.

· Ensure appropriate storage and rotation of food products to minimise waste.

· Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.

· Work effectively with chefs, cooks and other kitchen staff during busy service periods.





· Assist with training and supervising junior kitchen staff where required.

· Ensure kitchen equipment and work areas are maintained appropriately.

Skills & Experience

· Relevant commercial cookery qualification, such as Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent.

· At least 1 year of relevant commercial kitchen experience.

· Demonstrated experience preparing and cooking a variety of dishes.

· Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene requirements.

· Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced commercial kitchen.

· Strong organisational and time-management skills.

· Ability to work effectively as part of a professional kitchen team.
