About the Role

We are seeking a Hotel Manager to join our team at Hobart City Hotel. The Hotel Manager will be responsible for overseeing hotel operations and ensuring the property is professionally managed, well presented and maintained to a high standard.

The role involves providing a high level of personalised guest service, managing reservations and guest communications, coordinating check-in and check-out procedures, overseeing housekeeping and property presentation, managing supplies and operational requirements, and coordinating maintenance when required.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for responding to guest concerns and service issues, supporting the smooth operation of the property, and identifying opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and overall service quality.

Key Responsibilities




Welcome guests and deliver high-quality, personalised customer service.
Manage reservations, guest enquiries and qualified communications.
Coordinate efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
Supervise housekeeping activities and ensure rooms are presented to a high standard.
Maintain consistent service, cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the property.
Manage the ordering and availability of daily consumables, supplies and operational stock.
Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs and external contractors as required.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, requests and service issues.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and overall service quality.

Pay: $38.50 – $41.30 per hour
