About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hairdresser to join our salon team. The successful applicant will provide professional hairdressing services to clients, including consultation, cutting, colouring, styling and hair treatments. The role requires a strong understanding of hair care, hair products and current styling techniques, together with a high standard of customer service, hygiene and professional salon practice.

Key responsibilities
Consulting with clients and providing qualified advice on hair care, beauty products, treatments and hairstyles.
Shampooing, conditioning and providing appropriate hair and scalp treatments.
Cutting, trimming and styling hair using scissors, clippers, razors and professional styling tools.
Colouring, highlighting, straightening and permanently waving hair using appropriate chemical products and techniques.
Creating and maintaining braids, dreadlocks and hair extensions.
Shaving and trimming beards and moustaches.
Cleaning, colouring, cutting and styling wigs and hairpieces where required.
Maintaining high standards of salon hygiene, including cleaning work areas and sanitising tools and equipment.




Managing client appointments, processing payments and delivering professional customer service.
Following salon procedures, product instructions, workplace health and safety and infection-control requirements.

About you
Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification.
Relevant experience in a commercial salon environment.
Robust skills in hair cutting, colouring, styling and chemical treatments.
Good knowledge of hair care products and ability to provide skilled client advice.
Strong attention to detail, hygiene and presentation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
