Ballers Clubhouse Melbourne is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to join our team .

About the role

The Duty Manager is responsible for the operational management of the venue during allocated shifts. The Duty Manager acts as the key operational leader on shift and is responsible for executing tasks and responsibilities delegated by the Venue Manager.

Key responsibilities
Maintain continuity of service across all operational areas of the venue.
Lead the venue floor and bar during service periods through active operational involvement.
Bartending, hosting, food running, and customer engagement as required.
Manage staffing levels, staff breaks, and floor coverage.
Complete delegated operational responsibilities to Ballers Clubhouse standards.
Monitor customer experience and resolve service issues professionally.
Complete end-of-shift procedures including cash handling and reporting.




Support stock management, ordering processes, and stocktake procedures.
Ensure compliance with RSA, licensing, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Support training, coaching, and leadership development of staff.

About you

• Experienced working in a professional hospitality or venue environment

• Confident leading a team and overseeing day-to-day venue operations

• Organised, reliable and able to manage their time effectively

• Passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences

• Able to remain calm, qualified and decisive in a fast-paced environment

• A strong communicator who can motivate and support their team

• Comfortable managing staff, breaks, service flow and operational priorities during a shift

• Confident handling customer enquiries, complaints and service recovery

• Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling and end-of-shift procedures

• Someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised and well-run venue
