Senior Accountant – Property Development & Construction

We are a growing and dynamic property development and construction business seeking an ambitious Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent prospect for a motivated finance professional with approximately 5 - 10 years' experience who is looking to broaden their commercial exposure and work closely with senior executives in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the COO, you will play a key role in providing financial insight and supporting decision-making across multiple development and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journals
Preparation of weekly payroll
Processing accounts receivable and accounts payable
Bank reconciliations
Supporting statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance requirements
Assisting with process improvements and financial controls
Providing timely and accurate financial information to operational stakeholders
Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for the CFO and COO

About You




Approximately 5 - 10 years' accounting experience
Experience within the property development, construction or related industries is highly regarded
CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards qualification
Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
Experience using MYOB and Jobpac (or similar construction/project accounting systems) preferred
Strong excel skills and financial modelling capability
Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and commercially minded
