About the role

Join our team as a Part-Time Medical Secretary, 2 or 3 days per week, at YT Cardiology in Perth, WA. In this crucial role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to an Interventional Cardiologist/Heart Failure Specialist, ensuring the smooth running of our medical practice.

What you'll be doing
Client-facing reception role at our clinics in Bull Creek (Monday) and Joondalup (Tuesday) from 8.30am to approx 4.30/5pm, plus the possible addition of working Friday remotely from 8.30-4pm and the flexibility to work extra days for annual leave cover as required.
Manage and maintain patient medical records and appointment scheduling
Assist with the preparation of patient referrals, correspondence and reports
Liaise with patients, healthcare providers and insurance companies
Perform general office duties including data entry, filing and answering phone inquiries
Contribute to the overall effective operation of the medical practice

What we're looking for
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a medical secretary or equivalent administrative role in a healthcare setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with patients and healthcare professionals




Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
Proficient in the use of medical software (Gentu or Genie would be advantageous), electronic medical records and Microsoft Office suite
Understanding of medical terminology and knowledge of healthcare practices and procedures
Compassionate and empathetic approach when working with patients
