An chance has become available for a casual dental assistant / receptionist to join our practice based in north Canberra with some receptionist responsibility.

Experience is preferred, but we are happy to train you if you have the right attitude. Applicants must possess solid written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude, be reliable and motivated with attention to detail, demonstrate the initiative to work independently as well as part of a team, be versatile, be well presented with a professional etiquette. Previous experience using Dental 4 Windows (D4W) - desirable.

You must provide details of at least one telephone referee who can attest to your Dental Assisting skills, punctuality, reliability, attitude and ability to work as a cohesive member of a busy team.

 Understanding of sterilisation and infection Control protocols

 Facilitate administrative tasks and coordinate patient appointments

 Assist clinician during dental procedures including preparation of dental materials

 Record information as requested by the clinician on patient records during dental examination

 Prepare and reprocess dental instruments, including sterilisation and disinfection procedures according to established protocols.

 Assist in the smooth running of the dental facility

 Monitor dental stock supplies

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
