About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Mine Operations Superintendent to lead their production team in the Queenstown area. This senior management role is responsible for the protected, efficient, and cost-effective execution of all mining activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling. You will play a critical part in achieving production targets, managing operational resources, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental performance within their mining establishment . This is a leadership opportunity with direct accountability for operational success.

Key Responsibilities
Direct and manage all aspects of daily mine production activities.
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, operational procedures, and environmental standards.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and minimize costs.
Manage and mentor a large team of supervisors, operators, and support staff.
Collaborate with mine planning, engineering,



and maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mine operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Proven track record of managing protected and productive mining operations, preferably in surface mining .
Strong understanding of mining equipment, techniques, and operational best practices.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
