About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and observant Crop Scout to assist with monitoring crop health and identifying potential issues in their fields near Queenstown . This seasonal role is vital for early detection of pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, enabling timely intervention and minimizing crop loss. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently outdoors, and possess a basic understanding of plant health. Key Responsibilities
Regularly walk through assigned fields to inspect crops for signs of pests, diseases, weeds, and nutrient deficiencies.
Accurately identify and record observations, including the type and severity of any issues encountered.
Utilize basic sampling techniques to collect plant and insect samples for further analysis.
Document field conditions, including weather, growth stage,



and any relevant environmental factors.
Report findings promptly to the farm manager or agronomist, highlighting areas of concern.
Assist with other field-related tasks as assigned, such as scouting for irrigation needs.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of common crops, pests, and diseases is advantageous.
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Solid observation skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and accurately record data.
