We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

The Role /n

Working alongside our Head Chef and experienced kitchen team, you will be responsible for running your section efficiently and helping maintain the high standards Assaggini is known for.

This is a great prospect for a passionate chef who enjoys working with Italian food, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a friendly, established Mornington venue.

Key Responsibilities /n

Prepare and execute a modern Italian menu to a consistently high standard

/n
/n

Lead, train, and motivate kitchen team members

/n
/n

Manage food quality, presentation, and portion control

/n
/n

Oversee ordering, stock control, and cost management

/n
/n

Maintain compliance with all food safety and hygiene requirements

/n

Collaborate with management to create seasonal, produce-driven dishes

/n
/n

Assist with rostering, workflow planning, and daily kitchen operations

/n
/n

Foster a professional, supportive, and effective kitchen setting

/n
/n

Ensure excellent communication with front-of-house and other departments

About You /n

/n
/n

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role

/n
/n

Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and modern cooking techniques

/n
/n

Proven leadership and team-building abilities

/n
/n

Reliable, creative, and passionate about quality food

/n

Excellent attention to detail and presentation

/n

Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining standards
