The team operates across offices in Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Townsville.
This role collaborates mainly across Acoustics & Vibrations, Occupational Hygiene & Hazardous Materials, Environmental Assessment & Management, Risk Assessment & Toxicology teams along with many other practice areas.
The position requires solid technical capability and people management skills, with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with both the Practice Leader and multidisciplinary colleagues across SLR's Business Units.The OpportunityWorking with clients to recognise, assess and control occupational health hazards to protect worker health, you will be a confident and successful leader and be looking to do the following:Work with other SLR regions and practices on collaborative projects and submissionsIdentify and drive specific regional marketing opportunities and business development opportunities across a range of industriesLead business development to ensure our business, teams, and people continue to grow, thrive, and achieve performance metrics.Ensuring efficient process around project management, utilisation and other measures of success in collaboration with the Practice LeaderConsistently meet your own utilisation targets and deliverables,



as well as supporting the team in thisManage and lead projects, deliverables and client expectations with high level feedback scores from clientsEnsure day to day management of personal performance to help the Occupational Hygiene team achieve key performance indicatorsUtilise your significant industry experience to mentor and develop staff of all levels within the teamUndertaking technical and peer reviews of reportsEstablishing strong professional working relationshipsWhat you'll bringPost graduate qualifications in occupational hygiene and/or science and a minimum of 10 years' experience in relevant occupational hygiene rolesFull membership of the AIOH with COH status being well regarded or equivalent international recognized OH certification.Proven ability to win new work through business development and have exceptional client management expertiseDemonstrated experience in providing occupational hygiene services in the areas of asbestos, chemical, physical and biological hazards across industry such as oil & gas, mining, manufacturing, agriculture and in the built environmentDevelopment of occupational hygiene management and monitoring programsPerform occupational hygiene assessments including statistical analysis of monitoring dataExcellent Project Management with ability to communicate effectively with high level of detailed report writingProven business development skills and straLicensed Asbestos Assessor highly desirable but not a requirement.Our BenefitsAt SLR Consulting, we're proud of our collaborative and supportive culture where people are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
