As a Senior Associate at Riddwood, you will manage multiple projects and a team of engineers across our Brisbane office, while balancing delivery, quality, and commercial performance.
You'll play a key role in our business, with a focus on team management, client satisfaction, technical consistency, and project profitability.

Your duties will include providing technical direction and mentorship to your team, enforcement of Company policies, standards, and being a role model that embodies Riddwood's Core Values of Competence, Care, Accountability and Ambition.Key responsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for Clients, ensuring transparent communication and alignment of project objectivesMaintain and strengthen existing client relationships to achieve a consistent pipeline of workManage fee proposals, create and allocate project tasks, manage budget estimation and tracking, own kick-off meetings and design briefsApprove your team's workload plan and take ownership of deliveryProject manage the tasks that you or your Team Members are assigned as Task Manager, tracking timesheet hours, remaining budget, and progress against programme with early identification of overrunsProvide technical direction and mentorship to your team, review designs early, give clear engineering guidance,



and remove technical blockers quickly to avoid rework and budget exhaustionCollaborate with other Team Managers on progress and issues developing across ongoing projects, flag risks, delays or resource constraints early to maintain delivery standardsCarry out bi-monthly and 6-monthly performance reviews with your team, providing inputs on technical ability, delivery reliability, and team behaviourEnforce Riddwood's policies, uphold standards, and be a role model for your teamAbout youBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, recognised by Engineers AustraliaRPEQ plus CPEng highly favoured10+ years' experience in structural or civil engineering, with a strong background in temporary works, construction engineering, or infrastructure delivery from a consulting environmentProven track record managing projects and client relationships, with experience leading design teams and coordinating complex work programsThorough knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to temporary works, structural design, and construction engineeringExperience with SpaceGass, Strand7, Tekla TEDDS or equivalent design software3+ years' local experience leading projects, liaising with Clients, managing scopes, and preparing fee proposalsStrong commercial awareness: ability to manage budgets, track project performance, and identify and raise variations in a timely mannerDemonstrated people management capability – mentoring engineers, conducting performance reviews, and supporting team developmentExceptional communication skills and a proactive, client-facing approach
