MacKellar is seeking an experienced Production Mining Trainer & Assessor to join our growing open cut mining operation at Nyngan, NSW.
This is a permanent full-time position on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane, with accommodation and meals provided.

About the role:
You'll be responsible for delivering practical training, coaching and competency assessments to production operators across a range of mobile mining equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Training and assessing operators on haul trucks, dozers, graders, water trucks, excavators and other mobile equipmentConducting inductions,



practical assessments and competency-based trainingDelivering refresher training and operator upskillingAssessing competency against relevant RII units and site requirementsMaintaining accurate training and competency recordsWorking with supervisors and operational leaders to identify training needsPromoting safe, compliant and productive operating practices
About you:
You'll have proven experience delivering training and assessments within an open cut mining environment, along with:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE***** or current equivalentPrevious experience as a Mining Trainer, Assessor, Production Trainer or similarCurrent RII competencies across mobile mining equipmentStrong knowledge of open cut mining and production operationsExcellent communication and coaching skillsThe ability to build rapport with operators at varying experience levelsA strong commitment to safety, compliance and quality training outcomes
