The Opportunity
As an Associate Professor in Regenerative Medicine, you will provide academic leadership across teaching, research and postgraduate education at ARMI. You will play a significant role within your discipline, contributing to its continued growth and reputation, while leading the Master of Biotechnology as Chief Examiner and Course Director and serving as Academic Head of the ARMI Student Program, encompassing HDR, Masters and Honours.
This position focuses on the strategic development of the Student Program and is responsible for leading and delivering high-quality teaching across lectures, tutorials, practicals, workshops and other learning activities; developing innovative course materials and coordinating units, including supporting teaching staff and sessional academics. You will provide academic guidance and supervision to postgraduate, Honours and PhD students, oversee assessment and examinations, and contribute significantly to postgraduate training. You will also lead and undertake high-impact research, build cooperative research programs, publish in leading journals, attract competitive external and government funding, and contribute to research leadership. Through strong qualified and disciplinary engagement, you will help advance the profile of regenerative medicine nationally and internationally, while actively supporting and aligning with the Institute's culture, values and strategic priorities.
To be successful in this role you will have a doctoral qualification and/or significant relevant experience, complemented by a distinguished record of scholarly and professional achievement. You will bring a strong publication record, success in securing external research funding, and demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum innovation and postgraduate supervision. You will be an accomplished mentor and academic leader, with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and experience contributing to committees and academic administration. You will demonstrate the ability to build productive relationships, promote your discipline within the University and externally,



and work collegially across multidisciplinary environments.
