Company
Griffith's strategy is unapologetically values-led and future-focused,
driven by the real challenges that shape the world we're in. From advancing Indigenous flourishing and building a more sustainable future to improving health and wellbeing for those too often left behind, Griffith focuses its research, teaching and decisions where they count most. A young university, Griffith has grown from a single campus to become an integral part of Queensland's three largest cities: the Gold Coast, Logan and Brisbane. With more than 45,000 students and a network of over 300,000 graduates, Griffith sits among the top 2 per cent of universities worldwide, ranking first in Queensland and fourth globally in the **** Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
Teaching to transform futures
Griffith educates for impact. Teaching excellence is expected, supported and rewarded.
The University's educators are among Australia's most recognised, working in learning environments designed to foster curiosity, collaboration and challenge. Griffith offers a distinctive education where world-class research, high-quality teaching and real-world engagement develop graduates with the critical thinking and ethical judgement needed to lead in an AI-saturated world.
Curriculum is developed and co-designed with industry, informed by research and delivered by educators recognised nationally and internationally. Griffith embraces its youth and possibility. Where others see the absence of sandstone, we see freedom to innovate, to adapt and to lead without constraint.
Whichever of our more than 200 degrees they choose, Griffith graduates leave having already contributed to the world they are entering. That is the standard we set and expect.
Research that shapes the world
Research at Griffith is integral to the University's identity and its future. It is a public good, a strategic driver and a source of sustainable revenue. Through focused investment, strong institutes and purposeful partnerships, Griffith translates discovery into policy, practice and enterprise.
The University strongly believes in the importance of tackling climate change, environmental sustainability and health challenges, and focuses its research efforts on delivering impact in these critical areas. This is research with consequence.
This ambition is brought to life through research that crosses disciplines and makes a real impact in communities: from transforming the lives of people with spinal injuries and exploring the origins of humanity to solving Australia's plastic waste problem and supporting the next generation of Queensland children in making healthier choices.
Partnerships with purpose
Engagement at Griffith is enduring, not episodic.
Impact doesn't happen in isolation—it's built through partnerships, which are at the core of everything the University does. By creating internships, clinical placements and real-world projects, collaborating on research and drawing on the strength of our alumni community, Griffith moves ideas out of the University and into the world, where they make a difference.
Griffith works alongside industry, government and community because relevance demands proximity and trust. The University is also proud to be Australia's number one sports university, well-positioned to support the exciting Brisbane **** Olympic and Paralympic Games. Griffith recognises sport as a vehicle for excellence, inclusion and national impact.
The University has always looked beyond its borders, with a clear focus on the Asia–Pacific. Its founders understood Asia's rising global influence and the need for Australians to truly know and engage with our own region.
