We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologistto support mental health interventions for young people at headspace Camperdown
Base Salary $117,133(pro rata for 0.40 FTE)+ 17% superannuation

headspace Camperdownis a comprehensive youth health service that provides physical and mental health support, information and services to young people aged ***** and their families in a youth friendly environment and is led by theBrain and Mind Centre . The team at headspace includes clinical psychologists, psychologists, general practitioners, social workers, occupational therapists, mental health nurses, researchers and administration staff.
headspace Camperdown is seeking an experienced and passionateClinical Psychologistto deliver high-quality assessment, engagement, and care coordination services to young people aged 12 to 25 years. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support young people with diverse mental health, physical health, vocational, and substance use needs through an early intervention approach. Experience working with eating disorders is highly desirable
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Provide psychological assessment and evidence-based psychological therapy for young people ******) with emerging or established mental health disorders under an early-intervention (clinical staging) framework of service delivery
in collaboration with the headspace team, provide follow up assessments for young people with emerging mental health disorders using a standardised assessment format
work with a high level of independence & autonomy in coordination & administration of a busy youth mental health service
ability to liaise closely with onsite independent practitioners, local referral agencies and other services
carry out all tasks with professionalism, tact, sensitivity, confidentiality and discretion and work calmly under pressure; Problem solve decisively and responsibly in dealing with difficult situations including clinical issues
maintain accurate and timely case notes and records inputting data required by headspace National and headspace Camperdown
adhere to headspace Camperdown Clinical Governance Framework, policies and procedures
using IT systems including Microsoft Office, Email, Practice Management Software provided onsite e.g. Blue Chip and Medical Director, and data collection tools as determined by the Brain and Mind Research Institute and headspace National Office. Ensure data entry compliance.
participate in relevant Clinical Meetings
to participate in headspace Camperdown community awareness activities promoting the health and wellbeing of young people and liaise with relevant community groups, government and non government service providers.
participate in quality improvement projects and research
maintain a working knowledge of current legislation and government policy in relation to mental health and alcohol and other drug disorders, particularly as it relates to young people in NSW
participate in training and professional development as required by headspace, and any other tasks appropriate to classification as requested by the supervisor.

About you
Postgraduate qualifications - Clinical Psychology
AHPRA registration as a psychologist with an endorsed area of practise in clinical psychology




experience in psychological assessment and intervention services for young people aged ***** years who have mental health, alcohol and other drug problems
competence regarding clinical information systems, software packages and willingness to be trained and implement MDS, the headspace data collection and registration tool
computer literate, with familiarity with the Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office applications and capacity to learn how to use a current clinical software package for keeping of electronic client records
demonstrated ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with young people, family/carers, workers and other agencies
well developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving, advocacy and negotiation skills.
