Reporting to the Supervisor - Development,



this residential role based in Mount Isa operates on a 7/7 continuous rotating day and night shift roster, allowing you to return home each day and enjoy the lifestyle benefits of the local community.In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating Jumbo development drills to mine headings and install ground support in accordance with mine standards, while contributing to a strong safety and performance focused team culture.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Safely mining to design, on grade, on line and on timeDemonstrating safety leadership and adhering to site procedures, including correct use of signage and barricadingOperating equipment in a manner that minimises damage and promptly reporting any equipment issuesWashing down equipment and maintaining a clean and safe work areaCompleting accurate shift reports and ensuring effective communication of information during shift handoversContributing to a positive team culture through accountability, mentoring and supporting the development and coaching of team membersThe successful candidate will possess:A current Australian manual driver's licenceSignificant experience (4+ years preferred) operating Jumbo development drillsExperience operating equipment such as Sandvik Axera 7, DD420 or DD421 development drillsA strong safety record and demonstrated commitment to safe work practicesA high level of attention to detail with the ability to work accurately to design and scheduleStrong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to contribute to a positive workplace cultureFlexibility, adaptability and a proactive approach to workThe ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
