A hands-on, field-based Technical Service Engineer role within the food processing and packaging equipment sector.
This position focuses on installing, commissioning, maintaining, and supporting complex processing machinery while working closely with customers, internal teams, and suppliers across a national footprint.Role Responsibilities:Install, commission, service, and maintain food processing and packaging equipmentProvide first, second, and third-level technical support for breakdowns and customer issuesCarry out preventative maintenance, audits, refurbishments, and service programsComplete installations and commissioning to agreed specifications and timeframesPrepare accurate service and installation reports within required timeframesEnsure full compliance with WHS requirements and site safety proceduresSupport project planning alongside service coordinators and project engineersDeliver equipment training to customers and internal teamsAssist with product demonstrations, trials,



and technical sales supportBuild and maintain strong customer relationships and identify future opportunitiesLiaise with suppliers regarding equipment performance and technical mattersParticipate in trade shows, exhibitions, and on-call support as requiredCandidate Requirements:Minimum 5 years' experience in a service or field engineering roleStrong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capabilityExperience working with complex machinery and technical systemsExposure to food processing or packaging environments (preferred)Trade qualification and/or relevant engineering degree (preferred)Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindsetAbility to work independently in the field and collaboratively within a teamComfortable with travel, after-hours work, and diverse site conditionsHigh attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation skillsCurrent driver's licence
