Project Manager – Mechanical Services / Rotating EquipmentThis is a hands-on, client-facing position with responsibility for managing mechanical projects from initial client enquiry and estimating through to execution, delivery and final close-out.
You will work directly with clients and coordinate closely with Engineering, Workshop, Procurement and Site teams to ensure projects are accurately scoped and estimated, commercially successful, and delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical and quality standards.Key responsibilitiesBuild and maintain robust working relationships with existing and prospective clientsAct as a key point of contact throughout the enquiry, quotation and project delivery processAttend client meetings, site inspections, scope reviews and project meetingsReview client enquiries, drawings, technical specifications and scopes of workDevelop detailed scopes of work, estimates and customer quotationsPrepare labour, material, equipment and subcontractor cost estimatesManage projects from purchase order through planning, execution, delivery and final close-outMonitor project costs, budgets, margins, schedules and delivery commitmentsIdentify, document and commercially manage project variations and additional worksProvide clients with clear and timely updates on project progress, technical matters and commercial issuesAbout youTrade, engineering or technical qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Fitting or a related disciplineDemonstrated project management experience within mechanical maintenance, repair, refurbishment,



manufacturing or industrial servicesStrong estimating and commercial skillsGood understanding of project costing, budgets, margins and cost controlAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and scopes of workStrong planning, scheduling and organisational skillsConfidence dealing directly with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholdersPractical understanding of workshop and site-based mechanical activitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to coordinate and manage multiple projects and competing prioritiesAbout usFITT Resources Pty Ltd is a specialist supplier of premium mechanical engineered products, parts and servicing.
