Our Business Development Managers are at the heart of that ambition, as we shift from a focus on short term sales to building lasting partnerships.
That means more time in gyms and stronger connections with the people we work with.This role is responsible for Melbourne West, building on established local gym relationships while opening doors to new partners across the territory.
You'll work with club owners and PT Managers to understand their recruitment needs and help them build their future personal training teams.
Through referrals, events and activity within their clubs, you'll connect aspiring PTs with a training pathway and turn those opportunities into enrolments and commercial growth.It's a role for a natural relationship builder with a commercial edge and a genuine connection to fitness.

care and fitness for 15 years.You'll be part of a national team of Business Development Managers, each with their own territory, who share ideas, back each other and are building the culture AIPT wants for its next chapter.
You'll report to a highly capable BDM Lead with deep experience across the industry, a strong record of winning work and a genuinely supportive approach to managing the team.
Week to week you're responsible for:Growing established relationships.
Spending time in partner gyms, getting to know their teams and uncovering opportunities to achieve more together.Winning new partners.
Connecting with gym owners, Club Managers and PT Managers, understanding their needs and taking partnerships from first conversation through to agreement and onboarding.Creating opportunities in clubs.
Bring referrals, events, member communications and social promotion to life with partners and AIPT's marketing team.Helping future PTs see what's possible.
Engage prospective students, arrange club visits and connect them with the people and environments they could learn in.Turning opportunity into results.
Work closely with Careers Advisors to progress enquiries into enrolments, and directly close opportunities where your relationship makes you best placed to help.Owning your territory's performance.
Plan your week, manage your pipeline and CRM, and deliver against partnership, enrolment and revenue targets.The role suits someone who builds trust easily, listens well and follows through on what they promise.
You'll enjoy opening doors, winning business and exceeding targets, and you'll bring ideas that get partners involved and generate opportunities.
You're organised and comfortable working independently, generous in how you collaborate, and you genuinely care about the people building careers in fitness.Experience and qualificationsDemonstrated sales success,
whether in business development, account management or growing your own personal training client base.Experience building relationships with business owners or managers and turning those relationships into commercial results.Confidence prospecting, holding discovery conversations, presenting ideas and closing.The ability to plan your own week, manage a pipeline and keep CRM records current.A current driver's licence and access to a vehicle for daily travel across the territory.The right to work in Australia.Experience in the fitness industry as a PT, PT Manager, Club Manager or Regional Manager, or a strong understanding of how gyms operate.A Certificate IV in Fitness or a related qualification.Familiarity with a CRM such as Salesforce.Build a broader career in fitness.

This is a field-based role with regular gym visits and home working around partner commitments.
Typical hours are 8.30 am–5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekend work, a very different rhythm from a diary built around early mornings, evenings and weekend PT sessions.Have autonomy, backed by an experienced team.
You'll have initial training, partner introductions and ongoing coaching from your BDM Lead.
You'll also collaborate with your Melbourne East colleague and Careers Advisors to progress opportunities and share ideas.Contribute to an ambitious next chapter.
Under new leadership, AIPT is strengthening its student experience, gym partnerships and ways of working.
Improvements to the learning experience, systems and team collaboration are underway, and you'll have the chance to contribute as that work develops.Back an industry that keeps growing.
