Profectus is seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale transformation program within an Australian Government agency.
The role coordinates delivery across multiple release trains, business workstreams and supporting technology teams, working in close partnership with the Solution Train Engineer and program leadership.
The work covers Program Increment planning, dependency and risk management, delivery reporting and stakeholder engagement at executive level.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and facilitate delivery of a large-scale program operating under SAFeWork alongside the Solution Train Engineer to align release trains and manage cross-program dependenciesFacilitate Program Increment planning and other large-scale planning eventsManage cross-stream dependencies, risks, issues and delivery blockers across multidisciplinary teamsSupport integrated planning and delivery coordination across multiple releases and business workstreamsTrack and report delivery progress, metrics and outcomes to program leadership and governance forumsKeep business design, operational change and technology delivery aligned through to implementationSupport compliance with government governance, assurance and enterprise architecture requirementsEngage stakeholders across business, operational and ICT areas,



including at executive and senior executive levelIdentify and apply process improvements across release trains and delivery teamsRequired ExperienceSeven or more years leading large-scale government transformation programsExtensive experience operating in Secure or comparable scaled agile delivery environmentsProven experience in business design and systems implementationExperience working within highly regulated government environments, including government governance and assurance requirementsStrong stakeholder management capability at executive and senior executive levelExperience facilitating Program Increment planning and large-scale planning eventsDemonstrated understanding of program and portfolio management disciplinesSAFe Release Train Engineer or Solution Train Engineer certificationAgile, Scrum, Lean or equivalent certificationProgram management qualifications such as MSP, PRINCE2 or PMBOKChange management certification such as Prosci or equivalentRelevant tertiary qualificationsSecurity Clearance Requirementsmust be an Australian Citizenmust have an AGSVA Baseline Security ClearanceAn active AGSVA Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance (preferred)Working ArrangementsHybridBrisbaneSome travel to Canberra may be requiredWhy ProfectusProfectus partners with Australian Government agencies to deliver trusted ICT capability across complex delivery programs.
