Senior Disability Support Worker / Direct Care Team LeadWhoever You Are is seeking an active, reliable Senior Disability Support Worker / Direct Care Team Lead to deliver person-centred direct care and provide shift guidance across South East Queensland and Northern Current South Wales.
This is a mobile, field-based role delivering 1:1 direct community and in-home support, implementing positive behaviour support strategies, and supporting on-the-ground staff mentoring.Key responsibilitiesProvide 1:1 direct care, personal care, manual handling (hoisting/transfers), meal preparation, and domestic assistance to participants.Drive participants to medical appointments, allied health sessions,



and community activities.Implement positive behaviour support strategies and individual support plans in accordance with NDIS standards.Provide practical on-shift guidance, shadow-shifting, and mentoring to direct care staff.Maintain accurate shift logs, progress notes, and incident reports.About youMinimum 12 months of direct care support experience in the disability sector or AQF Certificate III in Individual Support / Community Services.Competency in manual handling, mobility equipment, personal care, and medication assistance.Active NDIS Worker Screening Check.Current First Aid & CPR.Valid Driver's Licence and insured vehicle.
