The Bower Hotel is seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen team in Toowoomba.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in producing consistently outstanding food.
Our menu combines elevated pub classics with bold, flavour-driven dishes centred around charcoal and wood-fire cooking.
Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, you will assist with delivering smooth and efficient services while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and safety.Key responsibilitiesPrepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with recipes and presentation standardsWork confidently across multiple kitchen sectionsAssist with preparation, service and day-to-day kitchen operationsMaintain consistency, quality and attention to detail during busy servicesFollow all food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirementsAssist with stock rotation, portion control and waste reductionMaintain a clean, organised and efficient workstationCommunicate effectively with the Head Chef, kitchen team and front-of-house staffContribute positively to a supportive,



professional and team-focused kitchen cultureDevelop your skills in charcoal, wood-fired and open-flame cookingAbout youPrevious experience as a Chef in a busy pub, restaurant or similar venueStrong cooking skills and sound knowledge of kitchen operationsThe ability to remain organised and perform under pressureA solid understanding of food safety and hygiene requirementsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsReliability, professionalism and a positive attitudeA genuine passion for producing great food and memorable guest experiencesExperience with charcoal or open-flame cooking is desirable but not essentialAbout usThe Bower Hotel is a busy, well-established Toowoomba venue with strong trade.
